This pineapple, passionfruit and orange fruit tea recipe is a recipe made by Fruit Nerd Thanh.

You may have seen Thanh from Channel 7's Plate of Origin where he battled it out and made it to the finals! He's also known for being the walking encyclopaedia of all things fruits (hence the nickname 'Fruit Nerd') 🧐.

His inspiration behind the drink:

"I was inspired by the many prima juice boxes I drank in primary school. The “tropical punch” flavour never left me and I’m glad to put a fresh take on this recipe for Bubble Tea Club! There’s nothing more satisfying to me than having a great fruit experience so I hope you’ll bring to life this recipe in your home and enjoy it with your friends or family!" - Thanh

Ingredients

1 Green Tea Bag
3-4 tsp of Fructose
2 tbsp of Pineapple Syrup
100g of ice
(Optional) 100g Pineapple cut in 2mm x 2mm chunks
(Optional) 1/2 Orange sliced 2mm, skin on
(Optional) 2 tbsp of Passionfruit Popping Pearls

Directions

Steep the green tea bag for 2-10 minutes in 300ml of boiling water (the longer the steep, the stronger the tea flavour)
Add in the Pineapple syrup and fructose (according to your own sweetness preference) and stir well until dissolved.

(Optional) You can use a blender to blend the pineapple syrup, fructose and green tea and make a delicate "fruit crema"
Pour over ice, stir and enjoy!
Recommended with fresh pineapple chunks, orange slices and passionfruit popping pearls.
